The Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry (MITI) on Tuesday issued a public notice announcing the rescheduling of the remaining public participation fora on the Standards Bill, 2025.
According to the notice, the Ministry has been conducting public participation fora as per its earlier schedule published in MyGov on September 30, 2025, but the Ministry has now made adjustments to the pending sessions.
The revised schedule provides new dates for the remaining regional meetings to ensure full public engagement.
It reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive participation and invited members of the public to continue sharing their views and recommendations on the Standards Bill, 2025, which seeks to strengthen Kenya’s framework on standards and quality management.
“MITI invites members of the public to submit their views using the prescribed template through the email address [email protected],” the notice stated.
The Ministry also extended the deadline for submitting comments and feedback on the draft Bill to November 14, 2025, giving stakeholders more time to review and provide input.
“The deadline for submission of comments has also been extended to 14th November, 2025,” MITI confirmed.
The draft Standards Bill, 2025, along with the feedback form, is available on the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) website at www.kebs.org, and a QR code has been provided in the public notice for easy access to the document.
The updated schedule includes the following regional meetings, Nairobi region, targeting the counties of Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Kiambu, Kitui, and Makueni and the meeting will be held at Eka Hotel, Nairobi, on October 27, 2025.
In Nyanza region, covering Homabay, Kisumu, Siaya, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Kisii, Migori, Nyamira, and Busia counties, the meeting venue is Ciala Resort, Kisumu, rescheduled from October 17, 2025, to October 30, 2025.
In North Rift Region, targeting Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Turkana, West Pokot, and Trans Nzoia counties, the forum will be held at Sirikwa Hotel, Eldoret, rescheduled from October 21, 2025, to November 3, 2025, and finally South Rift Region, covering Nakuru, Kericho, Baringo, Narok, Samburu, Nyandarua, Laikipia, and Bomet counties, with the meeting taking place at Merica Hotel, Nakuru, moved from October 23, 2025 to November 2025.
